Determining a Play yard

The way we determine what play yard your dog plays in:

The size of your dog. Some small dogs like playing with big dogs, but all it takes is one misplaced paw during play to send a small dog to the vet.

The game your dog plays. We place every new dog  with a group of our personal dogs. Our dogs will initiate play with your dog, which shows us what game your dog plays and what yard your dog will be the happiest in.

There are four different games that dogs like to play with other dogs :
Zoomies/Chase - Dogs run after each other in a yard.
Tag - Dogs run after each other in a yard, make light contact and then change who is being chased.
Rough & Tumble - Dogs make full contact, throw each other to the ground and wrestle.
Tug - Two or more dogs play with a stick and tug on it. Most dogs who play this game also play one of the other games.

Why your dog may be placed in a private play yard:
1) Is intact, not spayed/neutered, and over 6 months old.
2) Does not like other dogs.
3) Is on behavior altering medication.

Why your dog may not be placed in a yard*:
1) Can jump 6 feet.
2) Is scared of people.
3) We're unable to bring them inside.
(They do not readily come to us)
4) Is destructive to the fence.
*Your dog will be placed in an indoor/outdoor run to ensure its safety.

Daycare- $25

Dogs are in play yards socializing with other dogs that play the same way as your dog.

During the day dogs get to play in yards and socialize with other dogs the same size and that play the same way as your dog. At night dogs sleep inside temperature controlled buildings in crates or runs with elevated beds.
